Dateline Eagles 2002 Home Opener...Sellout crowd...Tailgate Brew and Chow starting to wear off? Where's a guy to go? The only show in Vet Town, that's where...CHICKIE'S and PETE'S.... Only, don't go in the 4th quarter, because they WON'T have any chicken tenders to sell you at $7 bucks a pop. They're out. But they will sell you a bucket of leftover Crab fries, that didn't sell in the first place(nothing like a plate of SALT in the 90 degree heat!) and a Coke for $9 bucks... Oh yea, and after you get the grub, GET OUT, because TV's get turned off in the 4th quarter as well. Chalk it up to the Vet, or the Vender, either way, a game that takes place in the SAME  BUILDING as the over priced stadium eatery HAS to atleast keep the tube on until said game is over...I know the Northeast spot is legendary, and rightfully so, but that stadium Jip Joint....TOTAL FUGAZI! Get it togehter, it's embarrasing.

I am just as guilty as the next guy for boo-hooing this whole saga, but I'll be a man and admit how wrong I was. Trotter is NOT a LB that should attract Ray Lewis type dollars. I belly-ached all summer, but Reid and Co totally exposed the method behind the seeming madness.  "Trott" is too slow for coverage, and two undisciplined to play in a structured defense that asks more then rushing upfield. Is he a stiff? No way, but would the Eagles have been strangled for years to come, by over-paying for a guy that is nowhere near that good? You bet. (See LINDROS, COLEMAN, V.HAYES, S. BRADLEY, etc, etc, etc...)
