He has been babied since the day he got here because those jackasses at 610 decided to go make a scene at the draft. Management OVERreacted and said, we are gonna coddle and baby this guy, to both make up for the display, and prove those idiots wrong. So now, sitting him equates being wrong to this management team...Lurie, Big Red, and Bannner. So he will not sit, because those guys don't like to be wrong, ESPECIALLY when the other side of the argument is 610 or the fans...which they(Lurie,Reid, Banner) mistakenly see as the same thing(610/fans), it is not. I think booing ANY pick is a collosal waste of time, just as it is cheering, you just don't know. The best thing to do during draft is GET A LIFE, and have ANYHING better to do then watch it, let alone attend. But that day, like it or not, created the monster that is now rearing its head.

Well, we have Brian Westbrook to "thank" for another week of McNabb's misfirings. I believe if the Eagles lost to the G-Men, McNabb takes a seat. The whole situation seems back-asswards. Usually, a team/coach will "stay with" or "continue to play" an injured quarterback when they are playing well (see Steve McNair until he is replaced by Neil O'Donnell every year). Ease off in practice during the week because he's so valuable on Sunday. That's not the case here. I say give him the first half against the Jets, a game that must be won (yeah, I still think the Eagles can win the division). The word that comes to mind when I think about McNabb's performance so far this year is unprofessional. A professional quarterback completes the passes he consistently misses on, which are not long or difficult passes for a pro QB. Although I'm not a big fan, I give Mike Marsh credit for sitting Warner and playing Bulger. Obviously, Detmer and Feely aren't in the same class as Bulger (although I'd like to find out about Feely), but the situations have similarities. Of course, I blame others as well, the entire scheme seems flawed when our big play is designed to "hurt" the other team for an 8-yard pickup; the wide receivers are (what's the opposite of dangerous?) and the offensive line, especially Hank Fraley (if I can notice when an offensive lineman is overmatched, you know you suck) has been pretty average when pass protecting. Bottomline: Will Koy or A.J. make the team better? Right now, the answer is yes, so give McNabb the first half this week and if it doesn't happen, sit him next to Kordell (man, that is harsh).
